Let’s imagine Emmanuel as a person
Five years ago, Emmanuel had an idea. It had been brewing for 2-3 years prior, but the pressure seemed to be increasing.
He shared the idea with a few trusted friends who all encouraged Him to give it a shot. He spoke to Mom and Dad, and they said, “We’ll help you, but less and less each year.”
So off Emmanuel went! He went to school, started bringing the idea to life, and learning through success and failure.
Surprisingly, it was working! The hunch wasn’t a false lead!
It’s now the end of school. Mom and dad have ended their support, and although his house looks the same, and so does his car, something amazing has happened in the background.
He’s on his own and making it.
Yes, not the biggest house on the block or the freshest fit, but it’s all his. He pays his bills and stands on his own feet.
That’s us, folks.
It may look like “business as usual” every Sunday, but things really are different.
We are here and making it, and God chose you to make it happen.
That is something I celebrate.
We were strangers, and He brought us together to make a place to become disciples of depth: people who lament, who learn, and who live together.
I’m grateful this idea is real.
And now we begin building again, but in a new way.
We’re asking different questions now that we’re operational.
We go from “What’s for dinner?” to “Who can we host for dinner?”
We move from “Does it work?” to “Does it work for us, our values, and our vision?”
We leave behind “Will we make it?” to “What is next?”
These are different questions because we’re in a different place. In this new place, we’re preparing for the next phase. We’re building teams, increasing urgency and efficiency, and we’re making room for more voices to belt “You are worthy of it all.”
This is all something to celebrate. So please don’t see this moment in our story as small. We stepped out there, and God did the rest. Now we’re stepping out again, this time fully expecting that He’s got great things in store.
You in?
I’m proud to be your pastor,

Thank you to those of you who were able to increase your pledge or monthly offering by 5%-15%. It did and does make a difference, and we hope you see that soon. Great things are already here! Great things are to come!
