Yes! You’re making a commitment to call a place home. That makes all the difference in the walk with Christ. Joining the family of Emmanuel either as a Covenantal or Confirmed member is a wonderful process that starts with a conversation with Fr. Cameron. During that conversation, we will talk about your walk in the faith, learning more about your call, and the ways you see The Lord at work in your life.

What’s the difference?
Covenantal
A Covenantal member means that you regularly worship with Emmanuel, and we are your spiritual community as you attend college, live temporarily in Spartanburg, or are in the process of discerning membership. This person cannot vote in congregational meetings or serve on the Vestry, but is considered a part of Emmanuel.

A Confirmed member has been Baptized, has completed the Confirmation Course, has been Confirmed by the Bishop, is a voting member in good standing within Emmanuel, the Diocese of the Southeast, and the Anglican Province in North America.
